World Athletics Championships

London will host the 2017 World Athletics Championships and Birmingham will host the 2018 World Indoor Athletics Championships. Mo makes his marathon debut in London on April 13. He will face Olympic and World champion Stephen Kiprotich and World record holder Wilson Kipsang. Could be a classic.

They are two of the fiercest rivals in College Basketball. The history of the ‘Dream Game’ continues as the 2013 NCAA champions take on the 2012 NCAA champions at Rupp Arena in Lexington! The documentary film Red V Blue, about the history of the rivalry, had it’s premiere in Lexington on Friday. It will also be shown in Louisville at the Muhammad Ali Center on Sunday.

Just 17, Jim Ryun became the world’s youngest sub four – minute miler 50 years ago, ten years after Roger Bannister became the world’s first sub four – minute miler in Oxford, England. There is no unit of measurement in the world that holds as much mystique and history as the mile – and no event in track and field that has sparked as much enthusiasm and folklore.

Kate Avery becomes the first British woman to win a medal in the NCAA Cross Country Championships, finishing third at Terra Haute, Indiana. She has been selected for Sunday’s European Cross Country Championships.
