“It’s War!”

When Kentucky finally agreed to the first regular season ‘Dream Game’, with Louisville, that was the headline in the Courier Journal. They had met earlier in the year at the NCAA tournament after not playing for 61 years, between 1922 and 1983. Louisville won that original NCAA Dream Game in overtime. It feels like a golden age for the rivalry, after fate conspired to keep them apart in the NCAA championship for six decades. Louisville will be looking for revenge after that 2012 Final Four defeat to the Wildcats. It’s the 2012 NCAA champions against the 2013 NCAA champions!
