Mo Farah and Hagos Gebrhiwet were separated by 0.14 at the finish as the Ethiopian scored a narrow 7:38.22 victory.

There were three Diamond League records as Chritian Taylor and Pedro Pablo Picardo were involved in the greatest triple jump competition ever, as two men went over 18 metres for the first time in history. Picardo won in 18.06, a Cuban record and 3rd all-time, with Taylor getting fourth all-time in 18.04.

Jasmin Stowers, an internationally unknown LSU graduate won the 100 metres hurdles in a stunning 12.35, a Diamond League record.

Allyson Felix also got a DL record, winning the 200 metres in 21.98, her fastest since the Olympics.

The long jump saw Shara Proctor equal her British record of 6.95 in second and Lorraine Ugen in fourth, suddenly going 3rd on the UK all-time list with 6.92.
