Lagat Breaks Masters World Record, Steel Takes Second.

Stephen Sambu ran the third quickest Great Manchester Run with 27:30, as Stephen Mokoka broke the 35 year-old South African record in 27:38. In his road 10K debut Bernard Lagat smashed Haile Gebrselassie’s Masters World record of 28:00 with a stunning 27:48.

Betsy Saina won in 31:49, as Britain’s Gemma Steel took a fine second with 31:55, ahead of World marathon champion Edna Kiplagat, 31:57.
