That difficult transition from being a junior athlete. Mo Farah and Emily Pidgeon are the two most talented young British athletes I have ever seen. One becomes Olympic champion and the other struggles. In reality the odds are against you, but as the thoughtful article says, you should celebrate what you have achieved. It’s better to have done something. It looks like Mary Cain and Jess Judd are well on the way to fulfilling their potential, as both qualify for last summer’s World Championships and Cain makes the 1500 metres final. All you can do is wish them well and follow their progress
